| Applicant Comment | I am currently fully fluent in English, German, and Farsi,
working towards fluent Spanish, and have basic knowledge of French. Learning
languages and to a certain extent teaching languages have always been a
part of my life and so I would consider myself well-equipped for a teaching
position in Korea. Likewise, I have been lucky enough to experience several
very different cultures in my lifetime and find not only that I adapt easily
but also that I would like to experience more. Growing up in Germany, some
of my closest friends had been (and still are) Korean, and so I was introduced
to Korean food, language, and culture from an early age. Currently, I am
a member of the Korean Students Association at the University of Western
Ontario and enjoy participating in social activities while I am also a member
on the Korean Volleyball team. Also, as a person who had always been open to and interested in different cultures I chose to do a degree in Anthropology which made me even more open to new experiences. With regards to the job details, I would prefer not to work split shifts. Having said all of this, I think it would simply be a fantastic experience and I would be more than excited should I be given the opportunity to teach English in Korea. Thank you for taking the time to read this. |
